SAP:
"Contrary to erroneous press reports, SAP AG has not given up any rights concerning the SAP DB code base nor handed over or even sold SAP DB to MySQL AB."
SAP:
"SAP AG remains responsible for ongoing development and support."
CNet:
"MySQL will take over most of the development of SAP DB."

The past few months I've been wondering when MySQL would start putting pressure on Oracle in the same way that Linux is putting pressure on MS.
