I have just setup and RAC with WIndows CLusters (w2k-Oracle9iR2). You can download the OCFS (Oracle Cluster File System) and use with a single oracle home.
ANd also there is a step by step installation guide (for 9i RAC on Linux) which was pretty good. I have not used Linux to test the RAC. But windows is simple and straight forward.
