All 4.x 32-bit code is fully backward compatible when run in AIX 5L.
The 64-bit code is a completely different beast however, and you'll need
the 5.x specific code if you want to run 64-bit Oracle.
The kernel doesn't matter (i.e. you can run 64-bit Oracle with a 32-bit kernel and vice-versa) in AIX 5.x.
