AK,
I had temp tablespace problem on a new server this early year. A particular query always run out of temp space (2 gig for a small database). I off-line the temp, recreate the temp, coalesced, recreate temporary tablespace or regular tablespace, changed the pctincrase from 0 to 1, forced wake up smon to clean. Guess what? I still got same problem until I put hash_multiblock_io_count=2 in the ini.ora file. Don't ask me why. It never had problem after since.
