Absolutely. While installing, the installer will ask the name of the ORACLE_HOME and the folder name; just give a different ORACLE_HOME and folder.

After installation you will see a program group called "Oracle Installation Products" and then "Home Selector", where you choose a home you would want to use.

    I have a dummy question, I thought impossible, but still want to check again:

    I have Oracle 8i installed on my laptop already. Is it possible that I can install Oracle 9i without deleting 8i?

    If possible, any tips, hints? Thanks
