It is reasonable. It does not cover measureware very well but the
manuals on that product are good enough. The O'Reilly book on System
Performance Tuning is better conceptually even though it is about suns
and linux.
Lets see, the first part is a general introduction of performance tuning that is fairly generic. If you don't have a methodology of your own theirs will do. The second part is a survey of the tools available on HP-UX. The third part deals with hardware architectures and stops with the N Class.
You will need a fairly good background in hardware concepts and a good understanding of how the UNIX kernel works to understand some of the material in this book. That said, it was worth reading because I have the background in UNIX.

I guess this is Oracle related since I have Oracle 9.2 on HP-UX 11i.
So the question is does anyone have this book:
HP-UX(r) Tuning and Performance: Concepts, Tools, and Methods
and if so, what are your thoughts?
Thanks
mohammed
