Peter - I think you have an issue with tricky interpretation. You will
probably get varying opinions even from Oracle. My understanding is that a
name is a user. So I would think that you would need a named license for
each user for each system, since each user would need to access each system.
Just license both systems for unlimited and then no more worries.

I have a license for five named users on a machine which is running two instances of Oracle. One our applications makes a connection to both instances for each user. Does this mean that each user counts as two users as far as the license is concerned?
