Mark,

If you can afford to have a procedure to create these objects in the replication environment after they are created in production - you could use read only snapshot replication. Besides simpler administration, it saves you money too, being in Standard Edition.

You need to issue a series of sql and pl/sql statements on the master and the snapshot sites. These could be placed in two scripts where the object names could be passed as parameters. You can get these scripts from an article of mine from www.proligence.com/downloads.html and use them in your application.
