Whilst I've never been to Toastmasters, I've a number
of friends who (when they changed from technical to
managerial) swear by the benefits - so I indirectly
recommend the organisation vigorously.
Unfortunately I'm stuck with the opposite affliction
of too much liking for public speaking. Generally my
presentations conclude with:
"Excuse me Mr McDonald. Its building management here.
Everyone's gone home. You've run over your 1 hour
timeslot by 3 days...Get out of our building or we
call security! And get that stupid grin off your face"
:-)
