I think you cannot simply compare oracle on windows/solaris. The main advantage is that oracle on solaris provide mature 64bit support, which enable large sga.And oracle running on solaris maybe more stable than oracle on windows. Regarding performance, if they run on the same hardware(though impossible), they should perform the same.According to my personal experience, 1.4GXeon MP ~~ 900MHZ Sparc.That is not something accurate, though.
