iSQLPlus with lots of rows

We are migrating to Oracle 9.2 and I was pleased to see iSQLPlus. Now I won't have to support desktop SQLPlus everywhere. However, when a query is issued from iSQLPlus from a table with a large number of rows, it just goes off into limbo somewhere, never to return.

Are folks out there really using iSQLPlus? Can anyone share their experiences? I have filed an iTAR, but don't have much hope there. Of course, I tried this same query from SQLPlus and it's fine. I stated that in the opening of the tar. Guess what the first question support asked was. Stall tactics rather than addressing the problem.
