Mohammed,
thanks, but the -m option does not seem to exist in Sun Unix.
$ mailx -m
mailx: illegal option -- m
Usage: mailx -eiIUdFntBNHvV~ -T FILE -u USER -h hops -r address
-s SUBJECT -f FILE users
any other ideas?

You mean:
mailx -m -s "Test Message" me_at_somewhere.com << EOF `ux2dos /home/report/tbsp.lst | uuencode /home/report/tbsp.lst`
This is from an HP-UX system
