First create the index UNUSABLE - which will create each index as a single extent at virtually no cost.

Then for rebuild each partition.

Than add the PK using the index.

(At least, that's what it says in my book ;) I think you'll find a similar piece of advice in the PL/SQL packages manual under the
PCXUTIL package.
