Also you could add a profile to apply a limit to the adhoc queries and any that surpass the limit should be tuned by a dba or a power user of the tool.

2. Increase temp space
3. Review sorting requirements of this adhoc stuff. Adjust sort_area_size, sort_area_retained_size if possible at the session level to reduce disk sorts.

Thats what I have now. But these adhoc reports keep running out of temp space and and ends up paging me :-)
