Dennis,

Actually each replication product has its own conflict resolution algorythms. Basically, determine your replication requirements (do NOT think about conflict resolution yet). IE. Think of your sources and targets, what platforms, how many, which direction etc. Then search the available technologies: Oracle, Quest Shareplex, ITI Shadbase, Datamirror etc......

Find the product that can handle your needs and requirements (ie. If you are replicating from a mainframe to Oracle -well, some products just don't do that), then see how the product handles the conflicts and if their way is acceptable to you for your needs. I dont recall off hand but some may even give you some room to decide how youd like to handle things. I believe that Datamirror allocated an extra column for a source in a multi-source to single target situation.

Just some thoughts.
