Don,

If I were you, I'd either stay out if this, or recomend that they speak with Oracle about this.
If your client gets screwed later, you don't want to be on the blame end of things. They could literally come after YOU for a bad recommendation.

I have a client that is purchasing additional Oracle db product. The company that the client has worked with for several years turns out to be a "not authorized" reseller. This is the first that I have heard of "not authorized" Oracle software resellers.

Are there any reasons why one would purchase from an "authorized" vs a "not authorized" reseller?
