Post Migration to 8.1.7.2 from Oracle 7.3.4 on Tru64 Unix - Best Practices ??

Batch Jobs seem to be performing Slightly Slower than Before .

Are there any Best practices / parameters on Digital Tru64 Unix OR 8.1.7.2 for Better Performance ?

This is a Hybrid Application (Banking) doing about 3 Million OLTP Transaction Daily in a 5 Hours Window

P.S. Oracle Corp Suggested setting the O.S. Parameter fifo_do_adaptive = 0 (Default = 1) in /etc/sysconfigtab on DB Server which they believe Gives Performance .
