  1. Always update tables in the same order
  2. Check that you do not have table A and table B being simultaneously updated, with table A referencing table B and the FK columns unindexed. In that case, index the FK columns
  3. (rarer) on-the-fly partitioning of an IOT with SELECTs going on. Don't do it. -- Regards,
