Hi list.

I've created an oracle database 7.3.4 on a IBM AIX 4.3.3 machine. It's created over RAW DEVICES and the parameter use_async_io is TRUE.

When I trace the dbwr or lgwr process, I see lots of "kwrite" calls but no "kaio" calls at all as I see in Solaris for instance.
I think that Oracle should be using KAIO.

Can anyone tell me what I'm missing here?

thanks.
Greetings
DC
