Rachel,

I guess the command to move the datafiles from the current location to the new location is

 alter database RENAME file 'path and filename of old file'  to 'path and filename of new file';

Correct me if I am wrong....thanks.

depends on what you mean by downtime.

yes you can do it without taking down the database and the instance, no, you can't do it without at least taking the tablespace offline.

alter tablespace x offline;
in os, make a copy of all datafiles in the new location alter database move file 'y' to 'z';
  <repeat for all datafiles>
alter tablespace online;
