I use a script to gzip bunch of files in parallel and whenever I do that it just took over all the CPU cycles.
Maybe you can do something like that to simulate a high CPU utilization.

Does anyone know how to pin a Solaris CPU at a high utilization? I am doing some testing and want to evaluate a system under a high CPU load. Thanks.
