Hi Kangwen,

You should use whichever is the latest set of files from either your annual offline backup
or the last online daily backups.

If archivelog database perform online dairy backup (all tablespaces datafiles, controlfile to trace & binary), dairy archived redo logs to tape. Only perform full backup (offline, archivelog on) once a year.

If it happened that all datafiles, controlfiles & redologs gone, which copies of backup are needed for restore ?
