Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> protocol.ora
On my oracle databases, 8.1.5 and 8.1.6 I want to set up a protocol.ora to limit access and have copied this to .protocol.ora as I understand there is a bug in 8.1.6
I have put it in my $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin directory
TCP.NODELAY=YES TCP.VALIDNODE_CHECKING=YES TCP.INVITED_NODES=(box1, box2)
I have the correct list of nodes in my invited list this is just an example of what I have.
I have bounced my lsnrctl and an uninvited party can still get in..... What am I doing wrong?
