RE: Redo logging with version 8.1.6.x - Cherie?

We have been upgrading from 7.3.4 to 8.1.5 (not 8.16) with Sun Solaris 2.6.

To this point we have not upgraded our major application that has a lot of redo activity. I haven't noticed a marked increase on any of the smaller applications
that don't have a lot of activity.

I'll check when we do upgrade our major 7.3.4 app. It has been murder getting the code for this app to run (Pro*C and C). But that's another story.

I realize that this probably wasn't a lot of help but since Lisa inquired - I thought
I'd reply.

Oh. We were a much lesser upgrade (8.1.5 -> 8.1.6) on HP/UX 11.x. So I guess my experience does not speak to what you are seeing.

Just rolled out version 8.1.6 to our first "serious"  application.

It appears that more redo is being generated with the newer software.

Does that sound accurate?

Or is my application owner not telling me the truth regarding his activities?
