Get UWIN http://www.research.att.com/sw/tools/uwin/ It installs ksh for windows. Written by David Korn. Gives you a lot of the stuff you would expect to do from batch files.

I need to check the size of a file from within a batch script to see if it is empty. Is there any way to do this?
