The "buffer" parameter defaults to 4kb under NT - This is noted, all be it briefly in the 8i Admin Guide for NT - 2-11 - Page 55. I think you could probably find more in the 8i Utilities manual, but I havn't got that as yet..

Hi Folks,
I'm trying to find out the default "buffer" parameter size Export utility on NT O.S., 8i Rel 3. The utility manual says see your Oracle operating system-specific documentation which I have done, or at least I believe I have covered all manuals, but to no avail. Anyhow, anyone know the value and better still what manual it's documented in!
