How about using this statement:
select name

     from table1
      where field  like  'AAA% #989';

The % represents any character.

HTH,
Ruth

Oracle 816 on linuxI have a problem where in a statment of sql the DB Oracle doesn?t get the line in the follow situation :

    select name

     from table1
      where field = 'AAA  #989';

I think that between A and # exist some strange character that i can?t identify it ..

How can I do it ?

Regards

Eriovaldo
