Hi,

We are trying to run forms server (6) and OAS 4.0.8 on the same (NT) machine and need to have both listen on port 80.

Now being on the same machine is the preferred method, but normally Forms Server listens on Port 9000. Due to requirement laid down on us from above, we need to accomplish everything through port 80. I see a couple of options:

1 - Run Forms Server on a separate machine - I have noticed in Metalink that this can get complicated/kludgy due to the Java portion.

2 - Run both on the same machine using a second IP for Forms Server so that it listens on port 80 or a different IP address. I am told this may be accomplished by adding a 2nd NIC.

3 - Is there another approach?

Has anyone tried/accomplished this?
And what is the best way to get everything on Port 80?

TIA
Mike
