Hello
Has anyone ever received this error message?
I have a customer running Oracle 7.3.4. on Sun SPARC Solaris 2.6 complaining that users are randomly getting disconnected with the error "Unable to retrieve message id 1 from database"
There is no ORA- error code associated and I can find no mention of this
anywhere
on Metalink. There are also no errors in the alert.log or the listener.log.
There was however a hardware problem (some sort of SCSI failure - forgive me
I don't have all the
details )which the hardware vendors say has been fixed and that the problem
is occurring due to Oracle
database corruption.
The customer was also subsequently able to perform a full remote export.
I believe it's a Unix error but I can't say for sure. Can anyone else verify this for me?
Regards
Natasha
