Re: ORA-00600

It normally happens when a large export abruptly terminated either manually or some other process and you will find this message in alert log. Oracle is claiming to fix this bug in patchset of 7.3.4.5 but inspite applying this patch , I still observe this message when database is down using abort while export was in process. But I have not seen any dump to be created because of this. We have HP-UX 10.20 and database 7.3.4.5.

I had this error today

and it generated a big udump file 470mb that fill my admin area (including arch) which stop my database (ORA-257).

Any idea about this ORA-00600 ???
