I have a couple of comments for you on your scripts. First make sure you "TAG"
your backups so that you can use a "FROM TAG" when restoring. Make sure you
only allocate one type of channel on your restore script, not both disk and
tape. I have a few questions also. Is your databases in archivelog mode? Do
you resync your catalog manually?
