Re: Invalid DBMS_SNAPSHOT

So, did you try logging in as SYS and recompiling it? Is the public synonym there also? maybe something just happened to the grant from SYS to public to execute the package...?

If it is still invalid and the package doesn't work, I would think about calling Oracle. Or rerunning the cat* script that is used for that package. Of course, I wouldn't take my word on that, call Oracle.
