Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> DBA OEM Data Gatherer Startup
Recently, I installed the Oracle V 816 OEM Intelligent Agent and Data Gatherer
on an AIX (V 4.3.2.0) Oracle database server running V 806. The new V816 Data
Gatherer is not starting. When trying to start is just says Data Gatherer
is not running. I have checked with the -version option of vppcntl and it
comes back with 816. No information is displayed in the alert_dg.log file.
The old V806 odg directory and executables were removed. Any suggestions on
how to get this stuff running from two ORACLE_HOMEs would be appreciated. The
following is the output generated from using the command 'vppdc -console
-debug' and it appears to be referencing the old V806 information:
vppdc -console -debug
