Have you tried setting up the connection to the instance using the Net 8 Assistant?

Hi,
I've been using Oracle 8.1.6 for NT/2000 on my laptop for several weeks now with no problem, other than speed. Last week, I tried to setup OEM that came with the 8.1.6 download. I can log into the management server but it isn't discovering my local database. The database is running, as is the listener, the agent and the management server services.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for the assistance!
