I should be CHOOSE and not COST.Please see refernce manual for other valid
values like RULE etc.

Dear List,
I want to put my database in cost mode when I try to
put
optimizer_mode = cost
in initsid.ora it is giving error at database startup
what should I do?Thanks in advance.
