Why don't you move the AUD$ table out of the system tablespace?

Another "DBA" turned on select auditing for all tables in our production warehouse because he and a couple others thought it was the best way to capture some statistics. Within a matter of an hour or so the auditing table grew to several hundred meg, fragmented up our system tablespace and slowed down our loads considerably. AUD$ became quite the bottleneck. Now we have a system tablespace that is 487M with 403M free. Autoextend on, no maxsize - another philosophy that abounds here. I could go on but... Received on Thu Aug 17 2000 - 15:32:29 CDT
