Hello everyone,
I'm hoping that someone on the list can
shed some light on a Linux/dblink issue
a fellow DBA is experiencing.
- BEGIN FORWARD -----
I have two Oracle 8.1.5 databases on a RedHat Linux 6.2 server. I have
created
a database link in one database to access the second database. I have
used the correct connect strings but when I try to describe a table using
the
database link I receive ORA-02019. I have tried everything. GLOBAL_NAMES is
set to true so I am using the database name as the link name. I have also
tried using the connect string from TNSNAMES as my using clause. I still
receive this error. I can access my Linux DB (from a NT DB). I can *not*
access a NT DB from my Linux DB (via dblink). I receive the same error.
- END FORWARD ----
TIA
