Urgent: Can connect internal but hangs when connecting as other

Listers,

Here's something I've never seen before:

I have a 7.3.4 database on Unix Solaris. I can connect internal from svrmgrl. I can successfully query v$database table. However, I can not query dba_data_files or other dba_ views. I cannot connect as system or any other login id other
than internal. My connect just hangs when I do that. Seems as if I'm out of room on the system tablespace or something like that but I can't query anything to see.

How can I diagnose this problem. If I am out of space in the SYSTEM tablespace, how can I fix the problem given
that I seem to have very few commands at my disposal.

Thanks for any quick replies, Received on Thu Aug 03 2000 - 08:43:29 CDT
