RE: Urgent! ORA-01578 :ORACLE data block corrupted (file # 7,block # 82979)

Raise a tar with Oracle v. quickly .
Also there is a good article on Metalink on isolating the problem.

This is either a corrupted block in your data file(requires recovery) or an initimate shared memory problem.
