You could potentially get row migration where the row is unable to it into one block completetly. Sometimes its impossible to avoid this due to longs and what not.

Logically there cannot be any row chaining. What u are seeing can be row movement.
When oracle is not able to fit the record in the block it moves it enirely. Or it may be from the initial records which u may have before bulk load.

Hi gurus,

I asked to clear a doubt about row chaining, but have not rece'd any answer. I am asking again.

On a bulk Insert(and no update), will there be any row chaining at all? If yes, How to prevent it? If no, I have it although less than 1%.
