Hi Forum

I am installing a two node cluster on linux enterprize 4. I have successfully installed CRS.
Now, while installing Oracle I got the following error:

OUI-35000: Fatal cluster error encountered (PRKC-1071: Nodes "rac1host" did not respond to ping in "30" seconds, null).

I pinged it from rac2host(node from where I am installing) & it can successfully ping all the ips on other node.

Can anyone please guide me to fix this.

Thanks in advance.

Does cluvfy perform successfully?

Are there any useful logs in the various $CRS_HOME/log/<hostname> directories?

I think my CRS is not coming up, when I reboot the machines.

Any idea to make it boot automatically when systems boot.

Thanks,

After a successful install, CRS should be configured by default to start on reboot. Are the following files present:

/etc/init.d/init.cssd
/etc/init.d/init.crs
/etc/init.d/init.crsd
/etc/init.d/init.evmd
/etc/rc2.d/K96init.crs
/etc/rc2.d/S96init.crs
/etc/rc3.d/K96init.crs
/etc/rc3.d/S96init.crs
/etc/rc5.d/K96init.crs
/etc/rc5.d/S96init.crs
/etc/inittab.crs
/etc/oracle/scls_scr/<hostname>/root/crsstart

Does /var/log/messages show any errors?

/etc/rc5.d/K96init.crs

The /var/log/messages dont show any errors.

Thanks in advance....
