Hi Forum

Can anyone please explain why we need both rsa and dsa keys for rac user equivalency.

I tried only with rsa keys , but didnt work.

Those are crypto keys (private and public). You need to create them as a pre-requisite because at times Oracle Installer needs to talk between the nodes securely without needing to type the password.

You should be able to use either one. You'll notice that the 10g documentation shows both and the 11g documentation indicates to use either one.

What error are you getting? Did you use cluvfy ?

At the time of oracle installation, setup will automatically force the installation of oracle on other nodes without asking the password.
