Hi everyone,

Can you please post your recommendations on what kind of statistics need to be captured on a Oracle 10G or 9i instance on a regular basis to track Database usage, growth and performance?

A key list of metrics sampled everyday at a specific time interval which can be used for capacity planning (Not just growth in tablespace but other factor such as CPU, Memory, IO etc)?

Thanks
Krishna

Oracle 10g has a nice view, called v$osstat, that can be sampled for CPU Time, memory, I/O wait time, etc.
