i am trying to recover a datafile from a hardware failure and i am getting this error




ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01113: file 1 needs media recovery
ORA-01110: data file 1: '/data7/ics/icsdev/dbicsdev01/system01.dbf'

i have done this but my database is refusing to start and i dont have a a cold backup . How do i solve the issue pliz help

SQL> alter database open;
alter database open
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01589: must use RESETLOGS or NORESETLOGS option for database open


SQL> alter database open resetlogs;
alter database open resetlogs
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01194: file 1 needs more recovery to be consistent
ora-01110: data file 1: '/home/oracle/oradata/ics/system01.dbf'

Try "recover automatic database" in mount mode.
If it fails, you lost your database.

Do you have any backups?

Are your redo logs still accessible?

my redo logs are not accessible and i cant locate them
