You are often using the same blocks by concurrent sessions.

It does not matter, it is the same thing in 9i.
In addition, you had the name of the book, the name of the chapter, you should be able to find the information for 9i.
If this is impossible for you then you can now stop trying to find why there are performances problems in your database, it is beyond your skills.

Who told u Michel, that that it is same as oracle 9i. If it is same then there is no need to use 10g database, instead everyone will use 9i.I am using 9i DB, thats why i asked for 9i reference.

And one more thing who are you to judge whether it is beyond my skill or not. I raised a request through forum. If you have no proper explanation for "buffer busy wait" then please dont sent me all these junk mails to me anymore.

Thanx

Pokhraj.

I didn't judge, there is a logical sentence, if ... then ..., you are the lone one to judge if the first part and then the second part are true.
Another one, if you don't understand this is a logical sentence then computer science is beyond your skills.

And I gave you the answer about "buffer busy waits" but if you don't want I give you answers it's up to you.

Michel

What do you understand about buffer busy wait?
If it's not same as 9i, let prove some point, okay?

I would suggest that Michel has read the documentation from both versions and actually worked extensively on databases of both versions. So Oracle and his own experience told him.

This is clearly an inherent misunderstanding in what Michel was trying to say. The way that I read Michel's post is:
"The concept of Buffer Busy Waits is exactly the same between version 9i and 10g" (Please correct me if I'm wrong Michel). He, in no way, said or implied that 9i and 10g are the same and it would take someone pretty obtuse to glean that implication from what he said.

You must be either very lazy or extremely dim.
Either
1. You could not be bothered to even do a google search on 9i documentation (you could even have removed the latter part of the url to get to the root of where Michel was sending you and from there work out he 9i root)
OR
2. You did not have the level of intelligence to work out how to do the above.

I am continually amazed at the cr4ppy attitude of people who post and don't get spoon fed the exact answer, but rather are expected to show some level of effort, commitment and intelligence by trying to work out for themselves the answer based on hints and tips provided by people who are familiar with the concepts that they are asking about, and providing free and (usually) excellent assistance. Instead, they would rather start a flame war, and demand that they be given the exact solution (usually to problem that they have not described well enough to actually give an answer to).
It is for anyone to judge "whether it is beyond my skill or not" because it is an opinion and this is the World Wide Web, where people are allowed and positively encouraged to voice their opinions, just as I have done in this post.
You don't like it? Tough, ask for a refund.

Yes I got the answer from one of the senoir member who was questioning bout the capabilities of junior member..without resolving the actual problem.... and one link related to 10g... Thats sounds good.....also some flaming quotes from others members instead of giving the proper solution...

Even if you ready to pay it,I wont give you that link coz again I dont want any drama over there..
Thanx

The fundamentals remains the same irrespective of any oracle version.
The concept of buffer is same if you read in oracle 7 or in 11g.
