Hi,
I wonder how to copy a database. I want to move the database from one destination to another. Am I able to copy the hole folder? Or just the database files? If so, where to find them, and which files?! Do I have to create a new tablespace at the new location, or can I move the hole tablespace?!

1.shutdown the database
2.take a clean cold backup of all files
3.copy to the new location

Moving the database was harder than I thougth! (I don't know what ORADIM is..) Is there no way to perform this task within the url GUI? E.g. Maintenance-> Move Database Files-> Clone Database. Can I use Clone Database to do this instead?

I was able to use OEM's clone database in prior versions of Oracle, but 10gR2 seems to require GRID for that functionality.

Two years ago, it's seem to me
Let do it - take an example for the first time in your TEST DB
