Hi this is Rizwan,
I designed the report, the fields are vertical like

mnth_code _________
emp_num _________
emp_name __________
---
---
---
but when I run the report, the output in the explorer is like

mnth_code ______ emp_num _______ emp_name ______ .. .. ..

so how can I get the output as I designed in the report

Check the repeating frame's "Print Direction" property; change it to "Down" and see what happens (it might be set to "Across" at the moment).
