"Agent Unreachable" after first system reboot [message #292729] |

I just installed a Oracle 10g database on an XP machine, and so far it has been problematic. After installation, I saw that Enterprise Manager was working well, and I rebooted the machine. When it restarted and I tried to open the database again, I got an "Agent Unreachable" error message.
I then tried to startup up the agent, but it kept saying my password was incorrect. I used a local computer account that was in the ORA_DBA security group and the sys account to start the agent. However, this did not work. I'm sure the solution is pretty simple, but I am not yet familiar with Oracle 10g.
I am getting this error message in the event log. Thanks in advance.
