Hi,
How do I display 'No data found' if query doesn't retrieve any data.

Create a Place Holder and track the count of the rows.
When it is zero, in the format trigger of the text box return true.

It would be maybe easier to create a SUMMARY column instead, as you wouldn't have to write your own query to count number of records (CS_1 in the example) which will return the FIRST value of one of fields fetched by a query.
Create a text object ("No data found") in Paper Layout Editor (it is the B_1 field on the image) and create a format trigger which will display (or not) this text, depending on summary column's value.
