Hi all,

We have a requirement for implementing an ODBC Client application in Windows
CE.NET 4.2. We need to access an Oracle database from our client application.
But, from what i know, there is no such thing as an ODBC Driver Manager for
Windows CE. So, i have the following doubts:

1. Is it really possible to develop an ODBC Client application in Windows CE?
2. If yes, how can i achieve that in the absence of an ODBC driver manager?
Do i need to invoke the ODBC driver on my own?
3. Is there any driver available for Oracle database access on Windows CE?

It would be of much help if anyone can give me their ideas on the above
mentioned questions.

Hi, ALL

In the year of 2011.. Is there an ODBC Driver for Windows CE 5 and up. Need a fast way to transfer data from wince to any of the Server RDMS database.I currently use Oracle and MSQL..I found one that uses an ODBC driver but!! the handheld device must be in the Cradle. Example Symbol Motorla MT2090. Wifi TCP/IP

I found the best way to solve this was to use 1) Client MS WINCE odbc and 2) MS SQL Server then connect to 3) Oracle Server.

Can you give some info about Client MS WINCE odbc.
Also if possible can you share code.

We did not create code for this solution. I found this solution at Microsoft Tech Net. I am still disappointed that Oracle $$$ have not developed a WINCE 5/6 odbc driver.
